Indoor ski lessons, how does it work?
Moving ski slope
Ski School Amstelveen is an indoor ski school. You get ski lessons (or snowboard lessons) on a moving ski slope. That is a kind of conveyor belt that rolls under you. So you can descend endlessly. Because we can adjust the speed, the track is suitable for beginners and advanced skiers and snowboarders.
A lesson lasts one hour and there is always a maximum of two people on the track at the same time, and a maximum of four per hour (10 minutes on / 10 minutes off).
The ski mat is made of soft material so if you fall the landing will be soft. Due to the nature of the material and the design of the slope, injuries are very unlikely to happen. The structure of the mat mimics actual snow conditions. An emergency button stops the belts right away in case of a fall. Learning to ski cannot be any safer!
The lessons include the use of all materials (skis and snowboards, ski or snowboard boots and ski poles). If you have your own ski boots or snowboard boots, it is possible to use them. The same goes for a helmet, bring your own or use one from us. Wearing a helmet is mandatory.

Comfortable trousers and a long-sleeved shirt.
